We adhere to BS7499 Industry standards and BS7858 Vetting and screening of personnel. We rigorously enforce fully documented procedures and promote the principals of total quality management. We only employ staff with an SIA licence.
Management
All Directors and Senior Managers have been trained in Total Quality Management, People Management, Health and Safety and more specific, specialist, aspects of premises security. Our management philosophy is based on an emphasis on regular supervision, clear guidelines and guard welfare.
We primarily recruit staff with a security background and find that the additional effort that goes into identifying these people pays off through increased staff retention, loyalty and more professional service delivery. Our supervisors are always promoted on merit, the majority from the Armed Forces with a security background. The entire management and supervisory team have been educated in Total Quality Management processes and this is reflected in all our dealings with clients and staff alike
Staffing:
We will deliver a service appropriate to your needs and budget. We place great emphasis on the calibre of staff deployed to protect your premises. Our standard recruitment and selection procedures are based on recruiting specific personnel to meet your specific site needs. We offer our clients the opportunity to interview all prospective security officers prior to deployment. Every applicant undergoes a stringent medical questionnaire prior to employment, which we believe is essential before deploying staff working alone in the silent hours.
Security Screening & Vetting:
All staff are CRB cleared before employment is offered.
All officers and administration staff are telephone vetted for 5 years before an offer of employment is made. A probationary period of 12 weeks enables our supervisors and management team to confirm the officer’s suitability to our company, and your site, whilst vetting is carried out for a further ten-year period or back to school leaving date in the case of younger guards.
Supervision:
Supervisors make regular and unannounced visits during any hours that we have a security officer operating, Including at night and over weekends. n these occasions the Assignment Logs will be signed. In addition, welfare visits are regularly carried out to ensure our officers are receiving adequate support and assistance. These welfare visits are in addition to the standard site inspection visits
Contingency Planning:
As with any service industry provider of staff, our security officers can be sick or require other short notice absence, and are entitled to take annual holidays. We have taken measures to ensure that such occurrences don’t compromise the level of security service provided to your premises.
In the case of unplanned and sudden absences, our management will select the most suitable relief officer from our team. A member of our management or supervisory team will personally take over duties should there be a delay in the relief officer being available.
Pre planned holidays are similarly covered through the pool of relief officers. In this way we ensure that the standard of service remains at the same high level on the few occasions when your regular security officer isn’t available. Regular surveys of our existing clients inform us that this is the single most important service issue and we do everything possible to prevent disruption of this kind.

2) Security Patrol Monitoring Equipment.
Where the assignment calls for security patrols, we will install, unobtrusive unique coded electronic activating tags at strategic points throughout your site. Our patrol will register at these points during their assignment, enabling us to monitor their work remotely. Summary reports can be provided on an historic reporting basis at extra cost
3) Out of Hours Control
We operate a 24 hours Control Room from which all our security personnel are monitored to ensure they turn up for duty and are alert throughout their tours of duty.
4) Assignment Instructions
Prior to the commencement of any service, E.S Services Limited will, with your active assistance, draw up an exclusive set of Assignment Instructions for your site. These instructions will detail all the relevant duties and procedures, and the various registers that are to be kept on site. A copy will be provided to you.
Assignment instructions are updated regularly to ensure that any changes to your requirements are detailed at the earliest opportunity. All security officers will be required to sign the Acknowledgment Form to confirm they are aware of any changes made.
5) Contract Management
Management of any site will include a high level of involvement by the support team, there is of course a financial implication in this and we always agree at the outset the parameters required by the client. Included in our standard charge for Mesh Computers is a monthly meeting by the operations/support manager and a minimum visit once per week by a mobile supervisor to the on site officer.
